Story of Civil War scandal etched into cast member’s past

It’s often said an actor develops a personal connection with a character or a script.

When Blair Scoville Morgan plays her part in Scathe — the Civil War-themed play annually performed in Spring Hill — it’s actually a family connection.

Morgan is the great-great niece of Jessie McKissack Peters, a central character in the play — being performed Thursday-Saturday — about an actual murder that happened May 7, 1863, in Spring Hill.
