There’s a reason just about everybody who works in computer-dependent fields would prefer to have April 1 stricken from the calendar. Weird things happen with unusual frequency on this day and cause disruption. Today’s example is one computer that won’t stay on the net long enough to even collect the day’s Civil War news, much less post it here. We’ll try to make up for this tomorrow.

The other example is the other computer, which has suddenly accumulated, at last count, more than 11,000 emails that weren’t there yesterday. We like to flatter ourselves but we’re not THAT popular…and besides we are pretty sure they did not have Viagra in the 1860s so suspect these missives are not Civil War related anyway.
