    Hi,

I love your website first off and I will be using it as my primary source for information during the coming four years! It is great because it has information that for some seem trivial, like today, “capturing the Railroad Relay House … effectively secured the line from Washington, through Annapolis, to Baltimore.” Brilliant.

I have a question though, is it possible to get “This Day in the Civil War” by daily digest email? I am not sure if you think it is a good idea but would be willing to help you set up a “CWi Blue&Gray Daily Email” should you be interested. We could send it every day to people who would be interested, I know of two already!

Should you find this interesting, please get in touch with me through my private email address, if not have a great sesquicentennial anniversary!

    kind regards,
    John

I just read your post on the Relay House and as a Butler ocllector I have been able to obtain soldiers ltrs that were at Relay House early in the war and 1 of themspeaks to the firing on the train and then taking of the Wynans Steam gun…cool stuff.

Is there a site were a cemetery can get free tombstones for Civil War vets? At Antioch Cemetery, Stigler, Haskell co, Ok there is 4 known vets we wuld like to get markers for. Someone told the caretaker (not me) that they(another cemetery in Haskell co, Ok) got free tombstones and a one time fee to help take care of the Civil war vets tombstones. I’m asking this for the caretaker of the Antioch Cemetery, Stigler, Ok.
    Thank you

Great site; appreciate the info. I’d like to see more clips regarding reports of 150th anniversary reenactments; it seems like there’s the occasional human interest peice from some local paper but no real reviews/reports with photos of the major reenactments as they occur. Thanks!

Glad to see you back even if it is on a limited basis. Take care and my best wishes as you recover from your health issues.
